Read this story:

Several years ago, a couple from the USA came to the museum, looking for information about his great-great-grandmother. He knew her husband had died young and was buried in one of our communities, and that she had grown up also in East Hants. We were able to pinpoint who she was, and with his additional information about the woman’s daughters, we were able to tell him that his ancestor had remarried, moved to British Columbia, and later applied for Late Registration of Birth certificates for her daughters from Calgary. With that information, he was able to track her to the cemetery where she was buried in Calgary.
