Archives & Research Centre
During the museum season—June-end of September—most of the Society’s archive is located at the museum and is available for use during museum hours.
The rest of the year, the Research Room at 70 Park Road, Elmsdale houses the archive and is available generally one day a week, or by appointment. See our schedule of days open at 70 Park on our Facebook page or contact the Society through our email.
Copy facilities are available for a modest charge, or researchers are welcome to take pictures of text and images, or bring their own portable scanners. Internet research is available at our Google Hub, providing access to our lateral file and various other files organized by community, family, military, social history, etc. You can access the Google Hub by emailing us at info@ehhs.ca to ask for the URL to let you in, and you will be able to select the documents you wish to read. No charge.
Please note: Our in-house research resources cannot be borrowed; they are for on-site use only.
