…that a 16-year-old peddler, Lion Lundore, was murdered by his older fellow peddler in 1902 in Tenecape, Hants County. His murderer apparently confessed to jealousy as the motive, as the younger man was making more sales. Lion Lundore is buried in the Moose Brook Cemetery. His murderer was hanged in Windsor.

The East Hants Historical Society, established in 1967, is a volunteer, non-profit organization devoted to the promotion and preservation of history within East Hants, NS, Canada.

Lower Selma Museum & Heritage Cemetery

Open June-September, 10am-5pm daily. Guided tours; archive available. Free admission. Located at 6971 Highway 215, Lower Selma, Hants Co., NS.

Archives & Research Centre

Off season only. Open weekly or by appointment. See our Facebook page for schedule. Located at 70 Park Road, Elmsdale.
